An annual platform for the local creative community, the UAE Designer Exhibition showcases emerging creative talent and budding designers in a curated feature situated within the Downtown Design fair, with the aim of enhancing visibility for young UAE designers, expanding their networks and providing commercial opportunity.

In its fourth edition, this year’s UAE Designer Exhibition, curated by Fatma Al Mahmoud under the theme ‘Future Living Spaces’, presented emerging creatives that prioritise locally-sourced and eco-friendly materials. Set in a showcase taking cues from the rich architectural nuances of the UAE, the exhibition featured works of over 30 UAE-based participants.

Focusing on works by designers and studios who are committed to embracing social impact and eco-consciousness, the UAE Designer Exhibition 4.0 challenged designers to go beyond aesthetics, incorporating cultural references and local materials to create functional spaces that resonate with the community's identity.
