Running from the 14th-17th of November, Downtown Design in its fifth year caters to a growing appetite in design with a showcase of more brands with more product offering and variety. Meeting the emerging needs in the textile sector the fair presents a roster of textile brands that deliver solutions for residential, hospitality and commercial design. Design Alchemist, Sophie Mallebranche debuts a new world of French textiles at Downtown Design 2017.
Transmuting metal to textiles since the 1998, Sophie Mallebranche uses the intrinsic properties of metal to reshape space, sculpt light and release the fantastic possibilities of color. Her stainless steel, tin, brass and bronze weaves, combined with silicone, silk or linen threads, will transform our everyday lives.

From Canvas to Carpets, Cecilia Setterdahl returns to Downtown Design 2017 with a line of artistic, hand-knotted carpets.
Carpets CC began its journey in the city of Mumbai where an un-expected meeting with a carpet manufacturer resulted in her paintings being hand knotted. Cecilia’s goal is to transform life, color and exclusivity in homes and spaces; where in the room is the frame and her carpets act as the unique piece of art. The brand also develops an exclusive range of hand knotted carpets in Afganistan, in association with the Fatima Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI).
