Debuting at Downtown Design, Apartment 51 will showcase brands that translate quality design and value

Built on selecting brands that demonstrate design, quality and price; Apartment 51 founded in 2016 is the virtual doorway to accessible luxury home concepts in the Middle East. Ranging from kitchenware, home accessories and furniture; each piece is carefully selected to cater for different styles with an eye for design. With a retail presence carefully selected in prime locations and an ecommerce website Apartment51.com, it has ambitions to be a leading luxury home concept store offering refined designs with a modern twist.

Apartment 51 will be making its debut at Downtown Design with the launch of two new exciting furniture brands:

Bloomingville is a Danish concept with a design philosophy that can be conveyed in just four words – Bringing happiness through change. Driven by a fascination of Nordic style and living, Creative Director Betina Stampe established Bloomingville in 2000. Since then, she has shared her passion for creative ways of keeping the home in a mode of constant change with people all across the globe.

Kashida is an acclaimed product design studio creating bespoke design pieces based on 3D Arabic calligraphy. Questioning the traditional visual manifestations of calligraphy on scrolls and architectural facades, the team sought to bring these beautiful letterforms to life. Their aim was to transcend the classic ornamental approach to calligraphy by creating functional design pieces that respond to people’s ergonomic and lifestyle needs. Just as the ‘kashida’ glyph bridges between two Arabic letters in a single word, Kashida bridges between calligraphy and product design.
