This year, acclaimed Spanish brand, Sancal, debuts at Downtown Design with the new Majestic Collection, that revisits the brand’s origins, inspired by the past four decades.
Each piece by Sancal can be personalized to the individual project, a reflection of the brand’s belief that “diversity of humanity is the measure of everything”.
Vichy by BrichetZiegler
Vichy by French duo BrichetZiegler is an elegant recreation of the classic occasional table. Gingham fabric, or vichy in French lends the product more than just its name. This unmistakable pattern of squares has been replicated in oak, sycamore and walnut marquetry.
Mosaico by Yonoh
Together with the design studio Yonoh, Sancal’s modular table and seating program Mosaico can be reconfigured a multitude of ways, and can be used to solve a range of different spatial constraints. The ash frame is available in five measurements with marble or wooden tops as optional, as well as upholstered seat cushions. The removable backs enable the pieces to be transformed into comfortable seating.
Tonella by NOTE
The Tonella chair is a compact design piece that offers complete versatility, comfort and durability, making it an ideal piece for residential, hospitality or commercial projects.
Nudo Basic by Juan Ibáñez
The name of the collection, Nudo, refers to the knots found in wood in its natural state. The Nudo Basic is the newest addition to this collection with a simplified design of the feet to allow easy access. A special hard wearing matt treatment gives the table a traditional wax-like finish, accentuating the natural grain of the solid oak top.
Collar Mao by Skrivo
The Collar Mao is inspired by the Mandarin collar, a piece that champions both technology and handicraft. Injection-moulded, the upholstery is tailored just like a made-to-measure suit. Even the buttons are upholstered to match the seat cushion, underscoring the importance of every last detail.

Based on a philosophy of simplicity and functionality, the Tiptoes is designed to be customised to different styles. Irresistibly cosy, its studied depth, variety of modules and various types of arm, mean that it can be configured to fit into any home.
