Designed by Note Design Studio, Void Matters reflects upon the concept of negative space in design.

The collection takes the idea of the negative space as its starting point, reimagining the concept as the common element between materials and surfaces. The studio uses this abstraction to create four sculptural products: the Core and Remnant seats, Vestige tables and Dividual poufs.

Two simple elements shape the Vestige table. The sculptural base is formed by a rectangular block from which a cylindrical section has been subtracted from the upper part.

Featuring three pieces – two cylindrical stools and one c-shape upholstered seating – the Dividual poufs comprise a single entity when they are together or function independently as ottomans when separated. Lastly, the Core and Remnant seats offer the same bone structure of an armchair, only presented with and without added visual mass.
