Coalesse collaborates with UAE’s Office Inspirations to add a bit of life and artfulness to work environments.

Given that we spend most of our waking lives working, it’s a noble aim for New York-based company, Coalesse, to devote its time to making the office atmosphere more inviting, comfortable and productive. Based on the premise that workspaces have remained unfulfilling – if efficient – for too long and have recently become mobile, Coalesse has partnered with UAE-based Office Inspirations at Downtown Design 2016 in order to welcome people back to the office by transforming these spaces into open, design-driven, thoughtfully crafted areas of sociability, creativity and focus.

Of the two lines being offered at Downtown Design, the Massaud collection, created by French architect Jean-Marie Massaud, comprises a range of seating configurations for the office, lounge and conference rooms. This range epitomizes the ideal balance between elegance and utility.

Perfect for both office and study, the ergonomic Massaud Lounge chair is an equal place of contemplation and relaxation, with its adjustable headrest that has removable pillow inserts, and the added function of becoming the charging station for electronic devices such as your tablet or laptop.

The second collection is more unconventional.  The Sebastopol by Icelandic designer Emilia Borgthorsdottir is a collection of ‘occasional tables’ which function as both surface and storage. Flexible yet solid, open and moveable, arranged separately or combined, they provide innovative solutions for putting things away to avoid clutter. Available in two heights and sizes, they offer endless possibilities in making workspaces multi-functional and, much more liveable.
