Nikari Oy all the way from Helsinki Design Week
Connect with nature through Nikari Oy, the unique Finnish brand presented by Helsinki Design Week at this year’s Downtown Design.
Nikari Oy produce timeless wooden furniture and custom-made furnishings reflecting unique high quality Finnish materials. The skilled cabinet makers share the philosophy of uncompromised high quality craftsmanship, paired with sustainability, beauty and a sincere love for the material.
Master cabinet maker and founder Kari Virtanen, loves to wander the forest, being inspired by the biodiversity – a process that informs the brands philosophy - a respect for the essence of wood as a living thing and the willingness to create furniture build to last. The end result feels easy and natural to touch and use.
To debut in the Middle East will be the June Chandelier. Designed by Mikko Paakkanen and built entirely of wood and using eco-friendly LED, it reflects traditional Nordic values while embracing the contemporary.
