Downtown Design exhibitor Muubs has launched a new collection of items for the home under the title “The darker side of design.” The collection was inspired by Wabi Sabi, a Japanese aesthetic that accepts the imperfections of natural beauty.
‘The beauty of handmade objects with their small human inaccuracies gives our products character,’ says Brand Manager Karina Nørgaard. ‘The collection is entirely handmade; we worked with a talented group of artisans, woodworkers and craftspeople and they used only the most natural materials available to them.’
The new collection features teak root bowls with burned shells, and a brand new textile collection that includes cashmere pillows, alpaca plaids, leather cushions and tea towels in 100% linen. There is also a new ceramic series in a matte black glaze, and majestic terracotta jars that are black burned and have hand-stitched details.
Muubs will be exhibiting at Downtown Design at stand B06.Register to attend the fair here.
