Lema takes ‘bespoke’ to another level, epitomising the “You Think We Make” motto that has always defined the brand

Present in 50 countries and with a network of over 1,000 retailers, Lema has distinguished itself during the past four decades due to the high value it places on customisation, which forms the core of its business. Known for its iconic wardrobes and versatile shelving systems; in 1981, the company was the first Italian manufacturer to design a custom-built wall system in an endless range of finishes and the first to create the ‘Armadio al centimetre,’ a made-to-measure closet.

The design of these tailor-made closets is based around basic modules that can be adapted in height, width and depth, consisting of structures and panels: hinged, folding, sliding and aligned. There are an assorted selection of finishes with more than 40 glossy and matt lacquered colours, thermally-treated oak, carbon oak and tobacco oak, glass and mirror, leather and hide. The selection of interiors is also diverse, ranging from drawer units to the glass vanity to store belts and ties; extractable trousers, undergarments and shoe racks; and the shelf with built-in light and luminous side strip. Thus, the “Armadio al Centimetro” wardrobe encompasses a series of endless closets.

For Lema, the walk-in wardrobe is much more than a representation of pure luxury, it is the visualisation of a state of mind. Two examples are the Novenove and Hangar, designed by Piero Lissoni, which focus on the creation of a flexible personal space, a refuge that’s intended as a room to be inhabited - with the option of adding sofa and furniture to transform the space into a living area. With Lema products, the home is filled with a refined elegance, thanks to the considered balance between line, colour and materials - the unifying thread being comfort and the qualities of slow living.
