Tuscan bathroom manufacturer, antoniolupi has stood out for over fifty years for their innovative design and manufacturing of bathroom furniture, both in Italy and abroad. The brand is known for choosing and lately even manufacturing materials that highlight its function, making the end-product easier for consumer use. Pieces in their latest collection feature the use of the newly introduced Ceramilux material, which is light, natural and highly resistant to heat and dirt and Flumood – a non-porous new generation material that was created and manufactured by antoniolupi.
“The research into materials has always been one of the privileged subjects for antoniolupi,” says Andrea Lupi, daughter of Antonio Lupi who runs the brand with her 3 siblings. “As always antoniolupi has felt the need to explore new avenues, not stopping at what was readily available. After years of company research, Flumood was born, a new patented and owned material [which is] eco-friendly, compact, non-toxic and easy to clean.”
Here are the top minimal and innovative pieces that antoniolupi will showcase this year:
The AGO bathtub in Ceramilux, designed by Mario Ferrarini for antoniolupi, has an oval shape that is the perfect synthesis between curve and slope. The minimal design paired with dirt-resistant material make AGO the perfect fit any bathroom space. The geometrical design outlines the tubs included profile, which reduces its support to the ground and visually lightens its whole presence guaranteeing a piece that does not overwhelm.
The BATTIGIA sink designed by Michel Boucquillon is minimalism at its best; inserted directly into the wall and completely hidden aside from a simple glass sheet, the Corian sink is almost invisible to passersby. The wall, essentially, becomes the container that houses the sink, and, when inserted, the sink is then plastered and painted to match the wall, allowing it to blend in seamlessly. The white and blue LED lighting and tap are incorporated into the structure. The extreme minimalism and the effects of the light make BATTIGIA one of the most striking sinks on the market.
Finally, antoniolupi presents SIMPLO - a family of five top mount sinks and one free-standing which was designed by Mario Ferrarini. The basin is available in different sizes and is made from Flumood, a new generation material made by antoniolupi. Flumood is ecological, compact, non-porous, easy to clean and virtually scratch-resistant making it another ideal bathroom material. The SIMPLO sink is a modern, flexible and minimal alternative to the older EGO sink by Nevio Tellatin (2010).
