At the Downtown Design Digital Fair, Marc Ange - designer of the extraordinary  launched two new creations - Refuge Library and Refuge Sconce.

The two new additions complete the comprehensive collection titled ‘Refuge’, which included Le Refuge (the iconic outdoor daybed), Le Refuge de la Nuit Bed and Refuge Lamps. Cohesive with his tendency for the extraordinary, Marc Ange’s new pieces reflect his multifaceted identity and are imbued with images from a collective unconscious, and his own.

The Refuge Sconce offers a new interpretation of the poetic and delicately surrealist universe of Refuge. The palm leaf, now smaller in scale, seems to sprout from a precious little pot made of marble, terrazzo or wood and is connected to the luminous spherical bulb it shades with a sinuous stem. “The piece presents itself as a little jewel adorning the walls, whose aesthetic is positioned between ornamental decor and utopian vision, between sensual elegance and fragile softness.” says Marc Ange. The glow of the light and its playful shadows add an element of warmth to any room, and is perfect for adding a sophisticated touch to both residential and commercial spaces.
