LCMX is a design and architecture studio located in the heart of Mexico City. It was founded in 2009 by brothers Ricardo and Otniel Rodríguez Elías, designer and architect respectively. The brand joins Abierto Mexicano de Diseño (Mexico Design Festival) to exhibit as part of the Destination initiative at this year’s Downtown Design.
LCMX has introduced two new pieces into their portfolio: the Felina lamp and the originally commissioned XL table.
The Felina design was inspired by the simplicity of basic geometric forms, allowing materials -mainly machined solid brass and walnut- to express their inherent qualities. Each of the unique Felina lamps is made through semi-artisanal production and assembly.
The XL table was originally commissioned by a private design collector who wanted a high capacity, solid table, with mid-century modern aesthetics. The result is an elegant, yet versatile, strong and durable table with soft lines and angles. It is supported by a “V” shaped copper-plated structure, with a solid wood top and copper detailing around the edges.
