Seasonal colours feature heavily in top interior design trends and this year’s colours are no exception.
Shades of blue, gleaming greens and the various degrees of white have all emerged as top interior design trends for 2016.
Jotun has designed three colour themes that are inspired by various social, cultural and environmental cues, translating them into shades that adorn walls and best express personalities. 'Reflections of Time' features variants of the sophisticated blues, warm neutrals, and a touch of gold or linen that represent the passage of time. 'Reflections of Light' is a combination of clean white hues in contrast with terracotta and soft blacks, inspiring transformation in its simplest form. 'Reflections of Earth' features shades of green, warm tones of browns and concrete, synonymous with nature and the natural way of living.

Aside from colours, adding depth and texture with natural elements to a wall is a key design trend for the region. Jotun’s Lady Design features a wide variety of textures developed to transform any space into a design haven. The different textures from the collection include concrete, linen, bricks and stones, and all are achievable using only using paint.

Colours such as Jotun’s Deco Blue, Pilaster blue, Cashmere, Green Harmony, and Warm Blush have emerged as top shades for 2016.
A neutral shade that is taking the design world by storm is terracotta. Part of Jotun’s 2016 Wall Trends collection is Rustic Terracotta, a delicate shade that helps create a warm and inviting space. Jotun’s Soft Skin is another neutral shade to opt for if you’re looking to create a softer space.

Textures have also taken center stage this season. For a delicate on-trend finish in your home, opt for Lady Design Linen, which replicates a linen fabric in a natural off white colour or Washed Out Grey, which gives you a natural unfinished concrete feel in an industrial grey colour.
