Returning exhibitor Bolon and New Exhibitor Antonio Lupi have built their success on investing in the future Exhibiting for the second year running, third-generation family business, Bolon, will present their innovative woven flooring concepts for this year, at the 2015 edition of Downtown Design.

Managed by sisters Annica and Marie Eklund, the cutting-edge Swedish brand has experienced a stratospheric rise from its origins as a traditional weaving mill to becoming an internationally recognised design brand; collaborating with designers including Jean Nouvel and Cappellini, and providing creative flooring for brands including Armani and Adidas. Their newest collaboration with Missoni, called Zigzag, champions the fashion brand’s iconic chevron graphic; and celebrates the importance of authentic design. The sustainably developed Flow collection, also launched this year, is a result of the brand’s recently commissioned onsite recycling plant that has been established to minimize the brand’s carbon footprint. Antonio Lupi will exhibit at Downtown Design for the first time this year. The Italian bathroom manufacturer renowned for its innovative approach, had visited the show last year and been impressed by the quality and opportunity offered by the fair and the city of Dubai. Originating in Tuscany, the 50-year-old brand has invested in manufacturing technology while searching for new materials and designs, developing its product line from bathroom accessories and mirrors to the entire living space, and collaborating with design luminaries including Carlo Colombo. Like Bolon, Antonio Lupi is a family-owned firm that creates and produces their product in their home town.
