DesignMarch Reykjavík makes its Dubai debut this October, as part of Downtown Design’s mission to introduce emerging brands to the Middle East design market.
1+1+1 features a product line comprised of cabinets, lamps, mirrors, and new for 2016, candle holders. Designers Hugdetta, Petra Lilja, and Aalto+Aalto each designed their own piece. They then came together , mixing and matching the three various components to create 27 unpredictable and delightfully playful combinations.
Agustav is doing their part with Wood for Wood; for each item sold, they plant a tree either in Iceland or endangered rainforests of Brazil. Founders Agusta Magnusdottir and Gustav Johannsson are truly doing material justice with their high attention to craft and detail, plainly evident in their book rack, available in oak, walnut, and wenge. Other creations include tables, barstools, lounge chairs, nightstands, and coat racks.
