An exhibition presenting works, that are designed and produced in KSA by industrial designers, is coming to Downtown Design 2023.
For the first time ever, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will stage a special exhibition at Downtown Design, championing the industrial design works of emerging and established Saudi designers, the first to be designated with the ‘Designed in Saudi’ product seal.
Taking place during a time of great social and economic transformation for the Kingdom and titled “Designed in Saudi,” the exhibition is a strategic national initiative by the KSA Ministry of Culture’s design & architecture commission and is aimed at developing and encouraging designers in the Kingdom working in the field of industrial design.
On display will be the works of Rejo Studio, Dahr, Aura Living and Keramos Studio, among others. Each product has been selected based on evaluations by a committee comprising international and local experts in the industrial design sector according to specific criteria to ensure its authenticity and reflection of human-centric values.
This feature at the 10th edition of Downtown Design will present a diverse range of pieces, each with its own tale to tell, that reflect the great creative potential of Saudi designers working in the field of industrial design.
Designed and produced in Saudi, the exhibition and its products aim to celebrate the creative sector and foster a platform for dialogue and collaboration between the design community and stakeholders from the design sector to stimulate sustainable development through creative practices, regionally and internationally.
