Exploring the relationship between the beauty of naturally occurring materials and the refined precision of digital manufacturing methods, the the award-winning Iraqi born, UAE based designer is set to launch his eponymous, forward-thinking brand at Downtown Design.
For the occasion, he has designed a never-seen-before family of vases and tables called Ripple. Designed in American marbles Georgia and Vermont, the unique form that underpins the collection is courtesy of an advanced production process wherein the surface effects were created by robots using advanced algorithms.
Highly intricate and yet in complete celebration of the natural beauty of marble, the collection is emblematic of Mahdi’s work, both stylistically and technologically.
