With his works already adorning Dubai landmarks such as Zabeel Park and the Four Seasons Hotel, DIFC, Aeon marks his first showcase at Downtown Design.
Inspired by the nanosecond of the Big Bang, when the energy of life exploded into the universe, at the heart of the striking blue sculpture is an orb of gold-leafed spikes which took a professional gilder over 80 hours to perfect.
Its form reminiscent of an ‘Evil Eye’, a symbol often referenced in Middle Eastern culture, Aeon is poised to find resonance with visitors from the region and beyond.
Additionally, David will lend his expertise to a panel discussion centred on design’s role in building communities and the urban fabric.
