The platform now connects over 1,400 designers from 65+ countries and hosts 2,300+ projects, fostering a global community for creative collaboration and interaction.
During physical events, Isola’s community can exhibit in curated exhibitions or independent spaces, showcasing their works globally in countries like Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
At Downtown Design 2024, Isola Design hosted a curated selection of the most forward-looking designers, following the lines of their annual theme, This Future is Currently Unavailable, a call to action and reflection on how design plays a key role in the future we hope to see. The booth featured a unique exhibition setup inspired by the works of Italian architect Aldo Rossi, focusing on architectural elements that honored collective memory and local identities. The setup was constructed using innovative robotic 3D printing technology in collaboration with Caracol, Generation3D, and Airtech. This approach offered a space divided into sections that reflected different architectural heritages. Independent designers and contemporary design studios from around the world showcased their collectible, innovative, and unique works.
