Nani Marquina founded her homonymous company in 1987 in Barcelona, breaking into the market with a very different vision of the rug scene at the time.
Guided by her passion for design and thanks to a long history in private and public use projects, nanimarquina has become an international benchmark in contemporary rugs for Indoor and Outdoor use.One of our strengths is the collaboration with international designers and artists who contribute their particular vision of the world and design.
With 35 years of experience working in contract projects the company offers custom and bespoke solutions for any kind of space. Having worked all over the world to fulfil their clients’ needs nanimarquina is a renowned company within the sector; from projects like the United Nations headquarters, various Gensler corporate offices, We Work facilities to Loewe or Frame retail shops and multiple hospitality projects.
With profound respect for tradition and the environment, nanimarquina’s rugs are made with ancient techniques by weavers in India and Pakistan. Craftsmanship is the basis to explore new techniques and contemporary designs. The result: handmade pieces that tell stories in every detail.
At Downtown Design 2021, Nanimarquina presented the "Formula", "Tres Outdoor" and "Silhouette".
