New Terracotta is a profoundly Portuguese handmade ceramic project established in 2014 and based in Central Portugal.
Their premise is to create a new dimension of tiles by merging the ancient techniques with contemporary aesthetics.
Their tiles are entirely handmade, therefore each tile is unique with subtle shade variations, irregular edges and small imperfections, no two tiles are ever the same.
New Terracotta have delivered bespoke tiles to palaces, monuments, churches and private homes for projects involving specific requirements concerning quality, appearance and dimensions.
They work closely with several architectural practices and interior designers worldwide, allowing them to develop and create any ceramic and clay bespoke products, not only tiles but also 3D and volumetrics.
At the Downtown Design 2020 Digital Fair, New Terracotta presented the Geometric Coponibili Tiles Collection designed by Elisa Passino, as well as fourty two new colors and fiveteen new formats from their New Terracotta range.
