Ayka Design is a brainchild of K.Michelle Evans, award winning Interior Designer who won the highly prestigious Best Interior Designer of 2013 in the Commercial Interior Design Awards held in Dubai. Michelle was described by the judges as a “hospitality specialist with a true understanding of different cultures” and someone who “creates bespoke designs suited to client’s individual needs”. The judges highlighted that what sets Evans apart is her ability to create truly ‘experimental Designs’.
Ayka Design is a Boutique Studio specializing in hand knotted bespoke rugs. It was set up in 2013 and launched its first collections to the design world in Domotex 2014. In a short time, Michelle has made a name for herself as one of the foremost creative, edgy and progressive rug designers around. Michelle now has several collections to her name and has exhibited them in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Venice, Germany and Dubai. Her passion for bold modern design and abstract textures is evident in her latest collection and by her most recent Carpet Design Awards at Domotex 2017.
