Andre Hnatojko (b. 1989) debuted POPPER pendants in 2012, the collection selected by Suzanne Trocme (of Wallpaper* magazine) to showcase at London Design Festival. Co-founder of award winning design collective Lab De Stu, Andre has exhibited in London, Paris, Milan, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and Melbourne. Andre’s work was part of ‘Melbourne NOW,’ National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) 2013 and 2014. Co-founder of limited-edition design platform 1-OK CLUB, Andre created his own one-off works that showed at NGV in August 2015, timed with the launch of his manufacturing house A OFFICIAL.
Studies in furniture design, industrial design and design business have honed Andre’s desire to express new methods of thinking, a collaborative design practice, and an experimental manufacturing processes. Andre lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
Andre is exhibiting with Melbourne International Design Week as part of the Destination initiative at Downtown Design 2015.
