In 1880, the Pouenat studios were established in Moulins, France. During the 60s, they expanded from wrought iron craftsmanship to interior design and decorative arrangement of metals. The takeover of Pouenat by Jacques Rayet in 1995 marked an important turning point in the company’s history. Already creating their own Pouenat products in their studios, under Rayet, the company started to release lighting and objects produced by famous designers and architects, leading to further success and international establishment.
Today, Pouenat works with metals such as steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, copper and bronze, and integrates different materials such as glass, wood, ceramics, stone and fabric.
